Hosting a journal with OJS

So how exactly does one create, manage, and host an online, open-access journal?

DJIM uses Open Journal Systems, which is an open source journal management and publishing software that was developed, supported, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License. Our journal is hosted by the lovely folk over in technical services at Dalhousie Libraries (see video below) who help out our technical team with any problems.  If you’re interested in learning more about Open Journal Systems (OJS) at Dalhousie, check out the video below of Dalhousie Libraries’ Geoff Brown as he explains how hosting a journal at Dal works (and keep your ears open to hear DJIM mentioned!)
